If you missed my first post about the Bishop/Carey photos, you can read it here.
The two Christmas photos are the only ones with writing on the back.
I am guessing that these photos were sent to Elizabeth from someone named Fritz?
Dear Leslie Ann,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Theresa Bishop Hanna and you have found my daughter's family pictures. I was married to Tony Bishop (deceased), Shelton Hale Bishop, Jr. was his father (also deceased) and my girls grandfather. I can't wait to show them. Thank you for putting these on the web. A friend of my oldest daughter, Lauren found this album while searching the web for information on their grandmothers side and came across your findings. I would love to get this album if possible, all members of the Bishop family have passed with the exception of cousins, and a step sister and brother. You have uncovered a great treasure for my daughters.
I had a feeling this would be a popular family treasure. However, there can only be one recipient and I sent the album to another family member back in January.

I am glad you were able to find them.
Wow…what treasures you have! Do you have any pictures (information) about an Avis Bishop - born 1790/Chatham Co., NC - died 1879/Franklin, Illinois? She
ReplyDeleteis my 4th Great Grandmother. I, too, have a blog - check it out!

Sorry Anna. I have nothing on Avis Bishop.

ReplyDeleteShelton and Andrew Bishops mother Estelle Gilliam was a 2nd cousin twice removed of mine on my dads side. They were from the Petersburg/Surry County Virginia area. Words cannot express how proud it makes me feel to see everything they have accomplished. I am hoping one day to find pictures of their mother Estelle Gilliam (Hutchins Chew Bishop's wife) or of Estelle Gilliams mother Victoria Johns born 1839
