I forgot to mention it in the original post,...Amy,

I forgot to mention it in the original post, but I am the seventh oldest granddaughter. So I am not included in the frame. There is a total of ten granddaughters and seven grandsons.

The frame itself is one solid piece of wood with five perfect circles cut out of the front (it isn't cut all the way through, the back is solid). There is a round piece of plastic to place over each photo, and then I guess they are coin-like, metal rings that fit snugly into the holes to keep the photos in place. I would guess it was made in the late 60s. I bet anyone who works with wood and has the proper tools could make one easily.Leslie Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12453532813141228929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-778634467165914304.post-31275052084933180222010-06-04T02:08:31.578-04:002010-06-04T02:08:31.578-04:00Leslie Ann, Are you in the photo as one of Grandma...Leslie Ann, Are you in the photo as one of Grandma Smedley's eldest 5 granddaughters? Also, what are those coin-like things called? I found one with my Mother In Law's picture in it. And I would date it at about 1940. (She was a young adult at that time) It was interesting to me, but I just don't know what it is called. Perhaps if you don't me copying, I'll post that photo/coin next week.

Thanks for sharing!A_CAINhttp://www.reconnectedroots.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-778634467165914304.post-5092042445793185052010-06-03T20:00:19.143-04:002010-06-03T20:00:19.143-04:00Excellent idea and what delightful grandchildren.Excellent idea and what delightful grandchildren.Linda Hughes Hiserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05774876428039197357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-778634467165914304.post-24841115711013498672010-06-03T11:55:15.667-04:002010-06-03T11:55:15.667-04:00How nice!
