Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1908 Postcard

This week's treasure from great-grandma's stuff is another postcard. The front of the postcard is a precious piece of artwork signed by Mary Sigabeeker and printed by The Campbell Art Co. in 1908.

It was sent to my great-great grandma Piggott from her daughter Alice.

It is stamped Randolph, Mar 9, 1908, and is addressed to Mrs. E. C. Piggott, Bloomington, Idaho.

It reads:

Dear Folks at home --
Hope everything there is
favorable & that Pa is
improving. Tell Mary all
her folks are ok. I was
there nearly all day
yesterday & talked
to them twice today
including Lillie & Ted.
I am going to a theatre
tonight if all is well.
"Walters Stock Co." The mud
is awful here. Love to all
Alice

  1. LOve the postcard, and love what you are doing with 'orphan' photographs. I, too, love flea markets and garage sales, and last year brought home a box of photographs to try to re-locate the descendants. In a few more hours, (hopefully) I should be able to do that. I just need to get back to it! Cool pics and postcards, too! Have a great weekend!
