I was able to find connections to Jacksonville, Florida of four of the signers of the card.
Gladys Eberhardt - Jacksonville 1910Ethel Westmorland - St. Augustine 1910The signers of the card must have been students of a college or something.
Pearl Holmes - Jacksonville 1910
Mrs. J. A. Heagy - Jacksonville 1930
The card itself is copyrighted 1911 by P. F. Volland & Co. Chicago.
One day, just one day - I am sure you're going to find something relevant to my ancestors or their places of origin! I love following your blog! :)

I hope I do find something that you would want -- that would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou find the neatest stuff! I have a couple of old books that were my Mom's that were published by the Volland Co. I have to check to see if it is the same company that printed your card. I love their art work.
ReplyDeleteI love your post! And I'd never heard the 'dancing in the pig trough' comment before! What a hoot! Thank you for today's good snicker!
ReplyDeleteI also collect old photographs and postcards and am addicted to genealogy but I never thought of combining the two and trying to find the ancestors of those old mementos! What a great idea! It must be very rewarding when you can place an item back to its proper family!
