Treasure Chest Thursday - Flea Market Find

A couple of weeks ago we were at the Ramon Flea Market and I couldn't resist purchasing this book when I saw it.

Just looking at it takes me back to when I was young and visiting with grandma Piggott.  She had this along with other Dr. Suess books and for some reason this was my favorite one.

I hope that someday my grandkids will be able to come to grandma's house and read this book.

  1. You can pretend it was your old book! And, when you read it to the kids, I'm sure it will bring back wonderful memories.

  2. Your post has jogged a similar memory.....as a child one of my fav poems was "Mr. Nobody". It was in a large book...a collection of children's stories and poems. Years ago, I was browsing through old books a local junk store and there was the book! It lives in my house now ;-) I hope you know you have inspired me to look for items that once belonged to someone else and blog about them in hopes to reunite the item with its family. Thanks!

  3. Awesome! Thanks Linda! I don't think I've ever been anyone's inspiration before. Those orphaned treasures need all the help they can get to find their way home!
