It is postmarked Oct 12, 1909 and addressed to Mrs. M. R. Crump, Box 191, Mart, Tex. It reads:
sure you think
I am never going
to write you, but
I surely am in
a few days. En-
joyed your letter
very much. Like
my work fine and
am getting along
nicely. Kiss the
little girls and son for me, and write soon. x Jane
I have been able to find the Crump family in the census, but have not been able to find out who Jane, the author of the postcard was or how she was connected to Edith.
